Just can't seem to get under 180. Will set a year end goal on Sunday, December 1st after I see what the damage from Thanksgiving is. Hopefully, it will be minimal. I went to the lab for some blood tests yesterday and will find out the results when I see my doctor next week. The most important test for me is CRP (inflammation) which has been off the charts high for about 3 years. It came down a bit when I lost nearly 50 pounds and came right back up when I gained the weight back. I try to follow the anti inflammation diet given to me by my doctor. Although it didn't specifically say to avoid dairy, I have been reducing or eliminating dairy since my last blood work. Now that I've had blood drawn, I will start drinking non fat milk and having string cheese as protein sources again. Then after the next blood test I will know whether dairy has much of an impact. I don't eat much meat (maybe 3 or 4 times a week) so really need dairy for protein.

Sounds like a good experiment. I do not know how long you have to abstain from something to see the results. Hope you get good numbers!!!! Having great energy???

Liv - I started reducing dairy around June-July. I did buy skim milk 2 times during that time to make hot chocolate instead of using almond milk. I know losing weight really helps with the numbers and I haven't lost as much as I had hoped for, but about 25 pounds since the last doctor appointment. I haven't had another super fatigue day since the last time, which was a week before vacation. It may be something mental - anxiety or something that causes it.

I think 25 lbs is a great loss!!! Slower is better than quicker and helps you making your eating a life style. Glad to hear about your energy. What kind of weather are you getting now?

Liv - it's supposed to get really windy later today which might mean power outages, although probably not in my area. THEN, we are supposed to get a big rain storm. Hopefully that will put an end to fire danger for awhile at least. Lots of rain and snow on the road to Tahoe (about 2 hours from me) just in time for Thanksgiving driving.
