Day 3 of a planned 3 days of ‘water and heavy cream’ fasting
The thing that I know about fasting is:
1) I am never hungry when I wake up 2) I will not have any hunger unless I eat something (and experience falling blood sugar)
Today should be the star of the ‘easy fasting days’. The second day is the hardest. This is also the start of the period where my body realizes that I am serious about not eating and will fully switch to fat burning mode.
It has no choice. My brain must have glucose, and if I don’t consume something ‘dietary’ it must use gluconeogenesis to create some. Fat-must-be-burned, glucose must hit my bloodstream to be transported to my cells, including my brain cells.
I’ve fasted in one way or another literally hundreds of days over the past year and a half.
I’m used to it 😊
I can feel and visibly see less fat around my gut (moving fat in and out of the liver is where most of the ‘action’ takes place at this point).
Now, why is the scale not moving?
Water. Watch what happens by the end of the week…
😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!
