Went to the pool yesterday, but there was a friend there who needed to talk, and I didn't feel like doing laps anyway. Going again today, and hopefully will get them in. Made good food choices - only real carbs were from fresh fruit. I even stayed within my RDI for calories. Got in 48 oz of water (up from ZERO!). Got a bad headache at the pool (caffeine withdrawal from my 2-liter/day habit!) Drinking 10 oz of Diet Coke made it go away. Thankful that I was blessed by a 3.5-lb weight loss on my first day back. I'm still pretty fragile right now, so that was a BIG encouragement!

Those caffeine headaches are awful! I took Excedrin Migraine just for that. Really opened my eyes to how dependent I had been on my Rockstars. Go Debbie go!

I've given up drinking Pepsi and Coke so many times! When I was working I would always get a headache. I slowly reduced the amount I drank to zero. At one time I would have a can of diet Coke, pour half of into a glass and give the rest of the can to a co worker. Now that I'm retired, for some reason, I was able to stop drinking Pepsi without the headaches. And I'm starting to like drinking water!! Since it's pretty much my only option for a cold drink I suppose.

Great job. I love water, tea. Those are my main drinks. I get a craving for soda sometimes that I'm trying to get rid of.

I gave up regular soda years ago and switched to Diet. For some reason I heard Dr. Now say "no carbonated drinks" and it's stuck with me so I stopped drinking anything that had carbonation in it and have never looked back. I tried those powders but they didn't taste right so today I only drink water. You could always try mint water with stevia drops in it. Mint "tea" is good for you and would help with the headaches.

I feel your pain on the caffeine headache!! I'm having a pretty good one right now as I just cut out all soda as of yesterday. Soda is my biggest enemy right now, so staying away from that!
