I was thinking on my way home today how much exercise improves my mood and outlook on everything. A couple weeks ago every little thing was bothering me, I was in this crummy mood that I kept fighting and feeling exhausted all day. I don't like myself very well when I'm in that frame of mind.
After getting back to exercise over the past 2 weeks I feel like a different person. Yes, I'm tired tonight, it has been a busy week, and my body is a little achy here and there. I'm back to feeling happy, less stressed, sleeping better, and simply a more positive outlook.
I went ice skating after work today (first time in a year) and it was a wonderful start to a weekend. I only made it 20 minutes; I could have pushed it further but didn't. The temps were dropping and the leftover bronchitis cough was flaring. After work past years I only skate at the most for 45 minutes in order to leave the city by 5. It's a nice stress reliever during a busy time of the year and for seniors the rink is free. Hoping to get there at least twice a week weather and work hours permitting.
