You are NOT crazy, DFW! There is a well-established technique for setting and achieving goals, and you've completely figured it out on your own! A good friend of mine told his wife that she was going to abandon him. Everyone else did in his life, and she would to. She told him no over and over that she would not abandon him. He would not drop it and it was a self-fulfilling prophecy. They divorced. This was shared only to keep the same mindset you have now as the relationship develops....
