Greetings Best Buddies!

I hope everyone is having a safe and pleasant weekend! Yesterday was our monthly winery visit with friends - a lot of fun on a beautiful warm day. I ate some homemade guacamole - not too far off my plan; but did have...OMG, tortilla chips, too! I cannot recall the last time I had them. And, some chocolate!

This weekend I am allowing a few treats - the last weekend I allowed some was July 4th! We are also going to see our minor league baseball team outdoors today - although rain is forecast - but I am not overly concerned about the ball field food. It is easy to eat protein and toss out the buns!

I believe we cannot always be rigid and that we must live our lives - but there is not a need to go completely overboard. It is about learning moderation and portion control - so difficult but essential to our success!

Words of the Week:
"You never know how strong you areā€¦until being strong is your only choice."
I am dedicated, determined and diligent.

I love your attitude. You do have to be flexible because sometimes life will throw you a curve. You will be so much better equipped to deal with whatever comes.

Dead right, H, flexible but not completely off the rails. That's the way!

You are so right about learning moderation and portion control. We don't eat out very often but when we do I am always shocked at how big everything is, especially now.

Your right HCB, if we deny ourselves it makes a craze it more and then tend to over eat I know I went and had a small Snickers Blizzard this weekend and my it was good. In the past it would have been a larger one coming in around 1700 calories but the small one gave me my fix for about 6 more months

@Rockiesfan~ THAT is so true. I had a small DQ sundae as my treat yesterday - just enough. I will not want it again for a few months.
