Thank you! The trick is battle music (right now the black metal band Blackbraid has been my go to), a carb load, and a good night sleep 🔥

I’ve never done leg presses before. But 560lbs is a lotta weight!

I like to mix leg presses (& hack squats) into my quad focused leg day in addition to my traditional free weight sets because it has more stability to do more weight and I can get more quad engagement. Plus I can really slow it down to feel that stretch for mind muscle connection 👍

Plus my quad day finisher is leg extensions followed by bulagarian splits squats because I hate those the most of all the exercises and I have zero strength left after that (must be good for me 🥲). And then 30-40 minutes minimum cardio to wrap it up in a nice bow (usually the stair stepper).

Are you counting the weight of the sled. The sled alone at my gym is 125 lbs.

Nope - just the weight I added

Girl, I count everything! 🤣 You are possibly looking at 565-665 lbs there, depending on the machine!

Was it easier to do squats? Since doing them it is your body weight. The weights are impressive.

It’s more stable so your able to more safely lift heavier if that makes sense. You don’t have to worry about balance / bad form as much. Standard barbell squats are still fantastic for functional movement but I get more quad engagement from a leg press or a hack squat

Yes it does. Especially when you explain about safety in form. I was wondering that this is good practice especially for achieving deeper more focus squats.

For deeper squats, I would work on ankle / hip mobility and using lighter weights on a traditional free weight squat. I like to do some yogi squats as a warm up to get as deep as possible with me heels on the floor. Going heavy won’t help you if you don’t have good mobility
