Busy, busy, busy! I was excited today to realize I had an extra day to finish cleaning, Christmas shopping & grocery shopping before our company arrives next week. I knew they were coming Tues. afternoon, but I was planning my schedule for the next few days as if they would be here Monday. I finished getting the bedrooms ready today. If I wasn't spending time adding additional touches like Christmas decorations or a snack basket for my granddaughter & her boyfriend I'd probably move faster. I like all the little touches to make them feel welcome 😊
I think I'll hit the grocery store tomorrow & finish Christmas shopping Monday. I wrapped & found gift bags for some of the gifts I have today. I will have time after they arrive to shop, too.
We got Christmas cards ready to mail yesterday & this morning. We've always sent cards & each year I tell Hubby we're at the age if we suddenly stopped some friends we don't talk to often will wonder if something happened to us. Of course since Covid, that's even more true.
We had rain yesterday & again today. We were concerned we might get some of the severe weather like there was in Kentucky, Tennessee & Missouri yesterday & overnight. So awful anytime but especially during the holidays 😕 The forecast is for sun the next few days....good since I need to be out & about.
Dinner's have been simple since I've put in a full day by dinner time. I bought a rotisserie chicken at Costco Thursday for dinner. Last night was turkey sausage, squash & zucchini & buttered noodles. Tonight I'm adding more of the rotisserie chicken to chicken tortilla soup (also Costco) & a side salad.
Off to feed the dogs & make dinner. Hope everyone's having a good weekend.
Oh, I realized my account has gone wonky 🙄 I discovered last night I had follow requests from all of my followers even though my settings say my posts can be seen by everyone. I tried to accept the follow requests from those I interact with most but there are still a bunch I didn't have time to accept. I've sent a message to Fat Secret but they don't work weekends, so nothing will be resolved til Monday. Not sure what people are seeing.
