Mental game warm up. Mini break is almost over. It's going to get busy again.

Projects & day to day requires better planning of healthful food. Junk food & instant noodle no longer an option.

Healthful fav food list; Stuffed grape leaves, anything cabbage, any type of cabbage. crispy air fryer chickpeas, mushroom, hummus. Fall greens

Can't wait for apple season, homemade baked apple granola crisp to replace apple pie breakfast addiction.

Will try another split the difference. 1/2 tofu, single egg scramble for brunch.
Skip breakfast, just coffee with oatmilk & coffee mate.

Still need better, easy, put on a plate breakfast food so I don't disturb light sleeper in my house.

Do not give into urge to buy coffee mate even though it's on sale.

Mindful eating again away from the computer screen.

I miss salad season, so much easier. Did Peach season come & go?

No more big bag of skinny popcorn in the house. Skinny popcorn not so skinny when not eaten in moderation. Individual size portions are safer. Banning big bag of Ms. Vicki potato chips.

Navigating holidays.

The mid-autumn festival is coming up 09/24. Childhood memories of family moonlight picnics in the park. Forgotten happy memories of lanterns in shapes of koi or bunny.

Today, we are oceans & miles apart. We use social media, calls to connect, eat moon cake.

We love our adopted country and we celebrate new traditions. But it's time remember our roots & share our traditions not just through food, so they are not completely forgotten.

Research how to make lanterns in animal shapes...

I had a goldfish lantern… I thought it was the most beautiful thing in the world🤣 Be kind to yourself my sister. Your body is smart and will adjust. My stomach now rejects skinny popcorn (I used to eat it a lot). Those fad low cal foods contain too much sodium and some other ominous ingredients. Or zero nutritional value, like shirataki. Your body knows it, it will reject bullshit foods, and it will lead you to start eating more gently and kindly.

Mental! Mind over matter. Cup noodles and oatmeal were my favorite breakfast until a month ago. Now, my pantry has a few dozen cup noodles, 2 big boxes of Quaker oats that have been staring at me and probably mad at me for not wanting to grab them every morning. If you're pre-diabetes, a glucose meter will point you in the right direction quickly as far as food choices. Good start ACB.

I am no longer pre diabetic, my A1C is under 5.4. I'm not letting myself go that direction. Something changed when I cut red meat. It's not forever. Have chicken 2xs a week max. 5 poached eggs a week. Delicious ham 1X week. My body really likes it. Alot more wild salmon, good fish, low mercury, no bottom feeder, Farmed Shrimp 1Xs month max. Happiness is spicy baby octopus Ktown style. Flax seeds in my blueberry yogurt smoothies Lots of tofu & blanched veggies. I don't bother logging sometimes when I'm really good. Tofu & veggies so low cal, my nutritionist says it's unlimited. I get tired of grazing before I hit 75 calories. Still working on the snacking, & dessert for breakfast. My good cholesterol shot up. Nothing canned except, tomatoes sauce or I'm really too tired to cook.

Anything you pour hot water in & eat is bad. Not the calories part, the melting plastic part. There has been weird labeling in self stable products like broth telling you not to bring it to boil. Instructions like that is cause for concern. It's a shame b/c ready made ramen is so good Used to love cup noodle for convenience. Waiting to see affects of the RO we installed recently to see how it helps our health reports Our water reading was 22 for contaminates. Now under 9.

👍. At the rate you're going, looks like I have to look into your toolbox for more ideas.

Yfritz, Hi, my nickname is ACB, I am a saltiholic. This is how I would introduce myself at a 12 step program. I know skinny pop is bad, B/C it comes out of a bag & it taste good 😅 You grew up in HK, did you eat movie popcorn in HK? I dream of that popcorn. Popcorn is not a bad food. It's microwave bag popcorn that's bad. If only I can find a safe popcorn maker. Another item on to do list. Hmm....more research. Corn is not a bad food. It's a whole food. When we were young we didn't have to worry about faux food.😔
