Nekone97's Journal, 02 October 2019

Anniversary dinner is tomorrow. Boyfriend wants to go out. I haven’t had a cheat day in almost 2 months (or basically never had one on this diet). I only have 3 pounds left to go. I’m tempted to just have what I usually do but feel (irrationally) paranoid about massive weight gain. Or maybe I should specifically pick food related to my diet. I don’t know yet lol.

Do you know where you are going? Most places post menus on-line with nutrition values.

I do know where. I did look up the menu and have decided on a meal that won’t disrupt my diet 😊 thank you

I would try stick to your current way of eating (not diet) and not regress? Why would you go back to old nasty habits that are not healthy for you. Stop thinking of your current healthy eating as a temporary situation? Its a change to the way you live your life, and you mentally should not be considering giving that up? WHy would you sabotage yourself deliberately?

I have a rule not to worry about it quite as much when going out with friends or celebratory dinners since I don't do it that much. I would worry about it if I were you, enjoy yourself. You will likely get fuller faster anyway if you're used to smaller portions now.

@Bandrai Yea I would like to keep the portion control permanently for regular eating everyday as I have always had trouble with that. However I don’t plan eating keto as permanent change. But i’m just currently wondering about an infrequent eating out if I should treat myself (in moderation) or still eat keto diet food. Thank you ☺️

Happy Anniversary! If you can access the menu, make a plan before you go and be decided when you get there. Then stick to it. Going out of ketosis is not a one day affair, so think about it and then decide.

Good healthy food usually tastes just as good , if not better than the unhealthy... life is short go enjoy your man and have a great time . Make choices that support your healthy lifestyle
