As of today I am at 87.3 pounds lost, total. I have only lost 42.2 in the past 3.5 months...which is disappointing considering that I had the WLS but...I am getting better now. New meds means I don't have to try and take the old meds any more. I'm feeling a lot less pain and nausea and in fact most of my symptoms are better. It's been a long time since I've felt this little pain and it's definitely going to my head. I walked 1.84 miles yesterday and I'm hoping to do the same today I'm over halfway and it's only 1pm! It's been a while since I was able to get in that many steps! So hopefully that means that I can ramp up the weight-loss lol. Also, in a couple of months I was supposed to go visit my mom and sister in Florida but that has been postponed because....(insert drumroll here)....I have been scheduled a court date for my SSI hearing!! I know it doesn't mean I will be approved so I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much but...it's one step closer. I really need an income, this has been the worst year ever! I suck at being poor!!! So hopefully, if all goes well, next year I will have a tiny bit of money coming in so that I can actually budget! Woohoo!

Only 42.2 lbs in 3.5 weeks? I'd dropped that only. What is that averaging? About 3 lbs/week. That is fabulous 👏👏 Same to you @Jopenn...2.5 lbs/week. Ideally, 1-2lbs/ week is great progress.

I was mostly in office management and customer service. I just get sick so much that I've lost the last 4 jobs I've had due to spending too much time in the hospital...

@katie71, I wish you well and hope that the weight loss you've achieved so far will help improve your health, so you can get back into the job market ASAP. If you have any questions about SSI, please contact me via private message. (I worked for the Social Security Administration for almost 30 years. I was a claims rep for two years and then advised administrative law judges on disability cases (not that it did any good) and writing their disability decisions (correcting them when I could). I know "the system" from the inside out and can explain anything you may not underdstand. (In some states, the Dept. of Social Services hires lawyers to represent SSI claimants who are also receiving public assistance, at no charge to the claimant.)
