I can feel it coming around. After close to 5 months of sciatica, I am now close to no pain. Right now, my exercise consists of walking until the pain comes, resting, and the walking again until the pain comes. I can handle walking about 1/2 mile this way.

I would love to be 100% by spring... right now I am about 90% compared to the worst part of it.

I started doing Pilates before Christmas and have cancelled my last chiropractor appointment. It has done wonders for my sciatica and hip issues ... there were times all I could do was limp around. Start going to the chiropractor in late summer and started feeling pretty decent. The Pilates has been a game changer for me. Plus I actually enjoy it. I didn’t join a class, just do it at home. My cable company offers exercise for 7 dollars a month. Best money I ever spent!

Pilates... not sure I am small enough yet, but I know that my wife wants to try it.

It’s all about physical activity that helps keep those muscles stretched. Less spasm, less pain.

Ugh sciatica is the worst. Glad you are working on it slowly.

You don’t have to be small for Pilates ... try borrowing a beginner one from the library. It’s more like a lot of stretching and exercises focused on the back, hips, and core but most sessions cover the whole body by the end of the 30; 45, or 60 minute session. There are a couple moves I can’t do yet, I am not very flexible, but 90% of the routines I do anyone can do at any size and it feels soooo good. No jumping, hopping, putting ur head around ur neck or anything crazy 😜
