My BMR is supposedly around 1200-1300 and my maintenance with all my exercise is only 1500-1600. Hubbys is more than double that :/. It gets hard to stick with 1400 or less. If your ribeyes are lean then I bet you’ll stay close. Unless you eat 2 steaks at a sitting for 3 meals a day! This diet is one I could do where so many others I can’t stick to. It’s hard to beat a good steak! Enjoy your diet! And the rest from exercise and hope you figure more things out :).

Curious, do you take an antihistamine tablet to minimize your reactions or do you want to know when you are having a reaction? I couldn't do without my coffee

Peeperjj it is very important to have only the fattiest of cuts for ensuring to satisfy the hunger. I have more than once gone to the 1900 range in my calories just eating beef and fat. I am not overly worried with going over right now, but I will track the best I can as meat varies so greatly in the food calorie/fat percentage on all the food trackers, I decided the aldi is about average in the protein versus fat calculations so I use that one. If I have a super fatty one I can always add some beef fat to the diary to balance it.

@baskington - When I eat a ribeye I cut my slices so I have a bit of fat in every bite :)

I do the best I can on that one, I do love the fat.

Marx I have very few medications I can handle and for sinus and drainage the only thing I tolerate is benedryl or Flonase. It has been that way for decades, never could handle the other sinus or cold medications.

Please read up on Benadryl! I read it is associated with early onset dementia, so I threw all I had away.

Hmm I don’t eat fat. It’s slimey and I don’t like the flavor lol. I thought a carnivore diet was supposed to be lean meat. I must’ve read it wrong ;).

Glad your mood is so sunny - great way to start a weekend! I am so happy that your legs are feeling better - good job with resting them so they can heal!

yep Peeperjj carnivore is heavy fat in your meat very similar to keto in that department. Bacon is used a lot to get the balance if the meats are too lean. fried or well broiled fat is great, I love the taste. I would not like uncooked fat. I wish I could handle pig fat that is my favorite

gz9gig, that is the only allergy medication I can take. But I rarely take anything. I can't remember the last time, maybe a decade ago. I keep it here for emergencies, my husband is allergic to bee stings so I need to keep it around
