Day 4 of Phase 1, just went to the supermarket so a dangerous day because there is so much yummy food in the house! It's nearly lunch time and i hope i control myself esp. on the old cheese front as ever. I'm very excited about cooking up some nice dinners though, i think i might make some turkey burgers. i made scrambled egg with feta and mushroom that worked well, i thought it would taste bad but it was awesome. Ok, planning lunch to stop me going mad, so mackerol and horseradish with salad me thinks and perhaps a slice of lean beef to make myself feel like i'm treating myself. hmm. still couldnt find that damn low-fat ricotta, only mascarpone light and that seems like a no no, i guess no desserts for me - boo hoo. So far havent eaten a thing from unacceptable list of food so that great! Just gotta watch the old quantities, cause i'm not great at listening to my body with fullness, i just clear the plate - i blame my mum, all that "starving children in Africa" crap!

I am on day 3 of Phase 1, i'm hoping to lose the extra weight i have gained on the old yo-yo. A couple of things to note i guess is i am 6'0 tall so my weight isnt very comparable - i hope that doesnt sound too much like an excuse. Oh and i'm from the UK so if i talk about sizes and shops, i guess bear that in mind. My weight is a guess because i am not weighing myself right now, i shall but not very regularly, because i get obsessed easily and have had what i call an anorexic episode where i reached 8 stone which for 6'0 ft isnt sexy.
....
So onwards....Day 3 all going well apart from the diet allowing cheese! I have always been a cheese lover, and i think i'm eating a little too much, all low fat of course. Has anyone tried quark? really odd stuff but quite handy. I love cottage cheese and cheddar too! Must cut down on that. Other than great, i find eggs are the most satisfying breakfast and brilliant start to the day, and you can mix in vegetables too. I used to skipp it and i dont understand how already! always have my two snacks, from what i have been reading though seems like so many people skip them- i'm torn over whether that's a good or bad thing?
I'm having one problem though, low-fat ricotta cheese is a mission to find in the UK, anyone got any ideas?
I must say the best thing about this diet is not being hungry and having energy unlike when i've dieted before and eating regularly is a great habit to get into i think! I just hope i stay on the straight and narrow because i am an big one for "all or nothing" thinking so if i fall of the wagon i do it big style - ben and jerry's style typically! x
