I am having a really hard time getting myself back on track 100% on the diet. However, I am watching what I eat in general. I must admit that I ate a "McSkillet Sausage Burrito" from McDonalds for the first time today. Here I thought it would be an "ok" breakfast with little bread, but I could eat the other stuff...WRONG! It had chuncks of white potatoes in it! Yeah...it was REALLY good, but it has a LOT of calories, sodium, cholesterol, fat, etc. etc. etc. Then on top of that...they made a mistake and put a hashbrown in my bag too!!! Talk about testing my self control! But, I did good and gave that to a co-worker. So, I have to watch what I eat for the rest of the day even closer now though because I did eat all of the burrito. If I was wise, I would have only eaten half and then thrown the rest away...but, as I have admitted many times...I AM A WEAK PERSON!

Anyhow, I have to ask if anyone has ever tried "Acai berries"? I have been reading about them EVERYWHERE for the last couple of months. I am usually not a compulsive shopper, but something about what I had seen really made me interested. So, I went online, looked them up, found many sites about them, and ended up buying them. Let me tell you that they aren't cheap. Anyhow, I am trying a trial of them and was just wondering if anyone else has tried them and what your opinions of them are? One thing that most of the websites stated was that the berries are NOT sold strictly for weight loss. They are a berry and used for health purposes as well. It even suggested I take a B12 vitamin daily also. I chose to get the pill version of the berry. It comes in 3 versions: 1. Frozen all natural berries, 2. liquid form, 3. pill form. I got the impression that the pill form was the best choice for people who wanted it for weight loss. Anyhow...now that I just seemed to have given a small advertisement for it...does anyone have any feedback about it?

Hi everyone. Well, I have not been sticking to my diet at all. I don't even have a good excuse...I am craving foods and even though I am still trying to minimize how much I eat, I have not been eating healthy! I have fallen off the wagon and am drowning in a sea of FAT!

Ok, now that I have whined about it, let me tell you what I plan to do about it. I am going to go shopping, and find what I need to be successful on my diet and start eating more so I wont be so hungry. I am going to get up each morning and tell myself I can do it. I am going to quit thinking that it is just going to go away one day and remember that I have to work to get it off. It sucks, but thats how it is. I am always looking for excuses to explain why I am not losing weight...but, I need to quit looking for excuses and just deal with the fact that I got this way because of ME! Sorry...I started whining again didn't I? :)

Well, there is my self help guide for today. Hope everyone else is doing better. :)

I have done overall very good this week. I have not stuck to Phase 1 of the South Beach diet, but I have stayed in the guidelines of Phase 2, so I don't feel bad. I even lost a tad bit of weight.

Today at work, one of my co-workers told me "You are slimming down" and that made me feel great! It's not always about the scale. Sometimes we lose in inches before we do in pounds I think.

I haven't been keeping a close track on recording everything I eat, but that is ok. I am trying to keep track in other ways though. I am ok with what I am doing and feeling really good about myself right now and I think that is all that matters right now. :)

I am leaving for Virginia Tech this weekend because my daughter (who is in 10th grade) was one of 3 students from her school chosen to compete in the college's band competition. It is an all weekend trip and we are really excited. This is the college she wants to attend in 2 years for veterinarian training. She is a smart girl! :) So, I guess I am forewarning you all that I may not be able to stick to my diet 100%, but I will try my best. I am on a tight budget though, so we will have to eat whatever is served, cause mom doesn't get paid til NEXT WEEK...lol...isn't that how it always works out?
