Time to start again. I am going to do what worked well for me in the past. The increase/decrease each week. Each week I will pick two changes in regards to my diet and/or exercise by increasing and decreasing something. When I try to make one gigantic change overnight I become overwhelmed and generally quit.
This week
Increase: Running. I am going to training for a 5k that is in 6 weeks.
Decrease: Fried foods. I don't eat a lot, but I am sure the french fries once or twice a week add up.
I will weigh myself on Friday.
Somethings that I have maintained from the past is really reducing my processed food intake. I am rarely eating these during the work day. I also have stopped snacking so much in the evenings.

Maybe it is a good thing the battery in my scale died, this might not be a pretty week!
I think it would help if I entered in my dinner before I ate it. That way I know how many calories I have for snacks/dessert. Again I was hungry before dinner last night and snacked on peanuts that I didn't need.
I think I need to take a walk during lunch today...

eekk I ate a bunch of chips before dinner last night. Nothing terrible, but nothing I needed either. Dinner was delayed and I was HUNGRY. I need to find a few snacks to keep on hand at home that don't involve munching.
Just totaled my calories...maybe the chips AND the smoothie were a little overboard...Today is a new day!

Though my weight went up, I was on vacation this week and did not really follow any sort of diet. I did avoid candy, and excessive white flour carbs, but definitely did indulge in some ice cream and a couple smoores. Maybe it was all of the boogy boarding I did; helped keep the weight gain down!
I am going to work on being satisfied with one sweet or a couple of bites this week. I read about a 90/10 diet that I was thinking of looking into. I think it is 90% good calories, 10% not so good (I guess). I am doing better at eating whole foods and really hope I keep it up.
