Yayyyy I lost a pound in a week! That's great, I think. I can't wait until I run out of barbecue and then I can actually start to eat healthy again. But keeping my spending in check is a little bit more important to me than eating right at this time...
Hope to be down to 131 by Wednesday!

I can't wait until my weigh in on Wednesday! I did cheat and I weighed myself when I went to the gym after dinner today...and I weighed 133...WHICH means that I have definitely lost weight if that's how much I weighed before eating on Wednesday.
I've pretty much given up drinking and I think it's REALLY helped. I feel a lot better about myself. I don't feel dependent on alcohol. Things were getting out of control, but after spending the weekend mostly alcohol-free (okay, I had a beer), I realize that I can have a good time without alcohol. This has also helped me to SPEND LESS, which was another goal for this summer.
I wonder how much weight I have to lose for this gut to go away...

I am on a quest to change my life and be HAPPY. This past year has been miserable and trying, and I want this next year to be different. One way that I want to accomplish this is by losing some weight. I would like to lose 10 pounds this summer to boost my confidence and gain more energy. I don't feel that I'm very fat or look very bad, but I think I could look and feel better. Plus, I want to have more of a sex drive, and I think that I will feel better about that if I'm more confident in my body. So, that's that.
I have a lot more time now that school has finished, so I will be able to work out more. Also, it's soooo hot that I barely feel like eating anyhow. I think that it should be pretty easy to lose about a pound a week. I am going to weigh myself every Wednesday morning. I am also going to begin doing cardio first thing in the morning, and if I have time/energy later, I will work out again. I love to eat and since I am pretty poor, my food choices are a little limited. But I am going to prove that you can lose weight while eating Taco Bell all the time!
I also need to get my finances together, so I am going to stop going out to eat all the time and try to cut back on drinking. At least, I can cut down on spending money on drinks by avoiding bars. I am going to insist that my friends go to the gym with me for fun time instead of just lying around, watching Netflix Instant View all day and drinking.
So here's my plan:
- eat 1500-1900 calories
- work out 5-7 days a week, including at least 30 minutes of cardio
- engage in physical activities for fun, such as dancing, going on walks, playing sports with friends, etc.
- drink less (this is the hardest one!)
College life is so rough on your BMI.
