Last night's couples counseling got off to a rocky start, as we seem to have been double booked with another client. However we did find a time that works better for both my husband and I, and the counselor met with both of us briefly. It went pretty well. I think we may be one of those couples that therapy might actually be effective for, because we can both articulate. We just need to figure out how to get out of the rut of repeating the same conversations without knowing any good solutions to address our frustrations. So I am optimistic. My brief experience with marriage counseling in the past, left me without optimism, and was not positive. So I am encouraged.

Today, I have to clean out an aquarium and go adopt a turtle for my son. I am hoping once that's said and done, I can get down to the Rec for some ice time. Thank you, kpwcalories for letting me know about the app to sync the fitbit with this app here. I'm excited!

I still haven't made the weight loss class here. The first one I missed. The one this Tuesday was cancelled. I'm dealing with a mix of emotions today.

I am elated because we finally got our Rec Center passes. I am off work tomorrow to get set up for my son's birthday party, and am hoping to go down for ice skating in the afternoon before my two youngest get out of school.

I am also apprehensive. My husband and I begin our marriage counseling tonight. We'll see how that goes.

I've been terrible about calorie intake. My stats on Fitbit are showing higher intake than burn on average. So I will need to work on that. I've been eating out way too much, and there have been lots of food items brought into work, which has done nothing to help. Why can't people bring veggie trays instead of bagels and donuts?!

On the upside, my activity is up. There's something about the graphics with the Fitbit that drive me to meet my goals. The downside... no journal, at least that I have found. So here I am, still trying to record my journey.

Hope all of my buddies here are well. I do still read your entries all the time.

Yesterday was my husband's birthday, so cheesecake and a beer put me way over my RDI. The rest of what I ate was pretty good though. Even the pizza for lunch. I loaded on salad first, and stuck to thin crust without a whole lot of extra toppings. And I managed to avoid the bar with all of the biscuits, mashed potatoes, and gravy, tempting though it was.

I'm still not doing great on activity, but I plan to work out this evening, and I'm hitting Zumba tomorrow night. Payless had a shoe sale, so I ordered myself a new pair of gym shoes for the Zumba class, and in anticipation of Rec Center Passes.

My mom said she is sending me a gift card for my birthday. I'm hoping to put it towards a Fitbit. :o)

I'm still struggling with Depression and anxiety, but not as bad as the other day. I'm looking forward to the longer warmer Summer days. I want to get back out for my walks in the evenings, and the extra sunlight wouldn't be amiss.
