Woohoo!!! The scale went down! I'm hoping that in another week I'll be in the 160's. And I still can't believe that I haven't been hungry or had cravings. Why did I never try Atkins before?????

So far, so good, I guess. Ate lunch out today and it was pretty easy sticking to Atkins. Seemed to be easier than when I did low-fat. And I guess what they say about cravings is true, because I really haven't had any cravings for sugar or carbs. I'm just having a few doubts about whether or not I'm actually in ketosis, or just losing weight because my calorie count is lower than before. Am in the process of reading DANDR book, which is much more interesting than I anticipated, so maybe I'll have a better understanding soon. Have to exercise...tomorrow. Tomorrow.

I think I'm actually enjoying this diet! Definitely don't feel as hungry all the time like I did when I was on a low fat diet. Also don't seem to have as many cravings. The biggest problem for me right now is that I have to somehow motivate myself to start exercising. Arrrrrgh!

Wow...I know I've only lost 2 lbs., but I swear my pants seem more comfortable! I have so much reading to do, though, to really get an understanding of this "diet". From years of conditioning, I am having a difficult time understanding how I can eat so much fat and lose weight. And geez...with eggs every morning, am I setting myself up for cholesterol problems and a heart attack? I'm off to buy the book today.
