I'm just passing on some helpful information that might benefit you in jump starting your weight loss.
I went to see a weight loss physician last Friday before really jumping in and focusing hard on getting back to my goal weight and I'm very glad I did.
The nurse had me get on some sort of high tech scale that records body fat, muscle, water weight, and a lot more stuff. Based on my current height, weight and activity level, she informed me I should be eating a maximum of 1350 calories per day and less than 800 with at least 30 minutes of exercise each day if I wanted to lose weight.
I'm glad I know this because everything I see online says a person should eat about 1200 calories per day minimum and this would actually cause me to have remained the same size or gained weight based on how active I was for the day.
I've had a phobia of needles for a long time and she advised me that a B12 injection might help me get the extra energy needed to help me start this positive journey in life. I'm thankful for a wonderful nurse who knows how to properly give injections. I barely felt anything and I've felt wonderful all week. I go back tomorrow for a follow up. I think she'll be very proud of the weight I've lost.

I just got a new buddy request and its always nice to have friends for motivation.
Like I said to her just now.....I've been at this journey for a while but finally decided to go at it 100%, working out hard and not cheating on the food part.
My biggest inspiration was finding out my twin sister who is 2000 miles away back home in Louisiana has lost 25 pounds since I last saw her in February and I'm due to go home in early December so I'm trying to catch up with her before I get there. My niece let me in on the secret. I thought I'd surprise her with the same surprise she plans to show to me. This has definitely motivated me to say the least. No turning back for me. I'm sticking with it all the way to the Goal this time.

I'm no longer recording exercise because I do so much that I forget to enter most of it. I'm attempting minimum of an hour per day but pushing towards two hours in small increments of 20 to 30 minutes each to keep my metabolism up. Also only eating fresh fruits and vegetables and having a carb master yogurt now and then as a meal replacement.

ok so I just got on the scales at a department store today (fully clothed) just for the sake of knowing since I don't actually own scales in my house. Oh my god, I'm ashamed of myself and know that I have to do something or my health is going to be at risk. 165 pounds. I was that back in march when I first started this site, which means back to square one and try this again. Jeez.....stress really does take a toll on a person.
But on a positive note, I just figured out that eating raw carrots actually made my headache go away. So I'm going to attempt 5 pounds by next Friday. Its not much but it's a start and I have a LONG, VERY LONG road ahead of me this time.
