gaining 0.3 lb a week
22 December 2011
well i have been doing Atkins since March 7, 2011, I have now lost a total of 51 pds, and a total of 66 inches, not bad considering i am only 61 inches tall. i went from a 43 1/2 inch waist to a 28, my measurements now are 35 1/2 -28-35. My BMI has gone from 39.5 to 29.9, I am no longer obese, just over-weight ;) I have 38 pds left to reach my goal, I have gone from a size 16-18 to a 10. I am very proud of myself for sticking to this way of life, and thats what it is, you change your eating habits and it just becomes how it is, you really dont even think about it you just know what you can eat, you even start to think about the carb count in foods and make the choice of not eating some. You cant say that 'I am NEVER going to eat something again', because then you want it more, you just make choices. To anyone considering this 'way of life', try it, it really works! I also exercise 6 days a week, 25 min a day on the stepper and 250 sit-ups on the Ab-lounge. When I first started I could only do 5 min on the stepper and 50 sit-ups, I feel much stronger now and have more endurance to work out longer. I hope this inspires someone out there thats thinking about trying Atkins, and thinks that it's just another 'diet', it wont work for me, try it!! It really does work!! I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!! (and if you 'choose' to have a cookie or piece of cake, Dont come down on yourself too hard, just pick yourself back up and next time 'choose' some cheese/pepperoni) :)
