How to monitor heart rate: Stop exercising and use your index and middle fingers together to count the number of beats at your wrist or neck for 15 seconds. Multiply this number by four. This is your beats per minute.

The same amount of ENERGY IN (calories consumed) and ENERGY OUT
(calories burned) over time = weight stays the same
More IN than OUT over time = weight gain
More OUT than IN over time = weight loss

Another post! Found out my daily nutrient needs: Carbohydrates: 256 grams
Protein: 70 grams minimum Fiber: 21 grams

So after looking 2 days at what I eat and the nutrition facts, I have found that I am getting too many of my calories from fats and carbs. I need more protein!!! I did some research and found some protein super-foods:
*Lentils
*Chickpeas
*Split peas
*roasted chicken breast
*tuna
*turkey
*cod[/color][/b]
