I'm relatively new to this and would love to have fatsecret buddies so feel free to add me or to message me for mutual support!
I'm 24 and often struggle with and feel bad about my weight. I've dieted a couple of times following a couple of different plans over the last few years, but after losing about 14 lbs I gradually also lose momentum and end up putting it back on and going back to my normal size of about 180 lb. This time I'm determined not just to enjoy the initial weight loss, but to keep it up and to get to a size I can really be proud of, maintain it and generally to be healthier and to feel better about myself. I'm aiming to lose about 28lb and to get to 154lb to start with but that's just to have an initial goal - it would be great to go beyond that!
At the moment I track all my foods and calories in a little notebook (I kind of like being old fashioned and doing it by hand) and stick to a 1200 calorie a day limit. I'm trying to make a lot of what I eat veg, protein and fat for the satiety value and to mostly avoid sugar, flour and other processed carbs.
I also do some exercise - I've been very gradually building up my stamina on a couch to 5 k style running app (I'm still only on week 3!) and doing cardio in the gym.
Anyway, I'm exited to really stick at this and make it work and I look forward to hearing from any of you!
