No weigh-in yet since I need to visit the doctor's office for a big-boy scale. Though, been feeling better and better with the change in diet. Shake in the morning, Lean Cuisine for lunch, and a sensible cooked meal by Sweetie for dinner.
I've never eaten Lean Cuisine before. Even though it is processed food and high in sodium, my primary care physician says it will help with portion control which is my weakness. Well, one of them.
I followed this list
Ranked Lean Cuisine Meals
and the five I've had so far have been great and affordable.
A colleague at work suggested meals by Freshly. I ate the first one today. It is more food than Lean Cuisine with more calories. Oh, and more expensive. But it is fresh rather than frozen. It was delicious and gluten free.

So just adding to the journal until I can weigh in. No matter what though, I have been feeling better these past two weeks since being back "on the program."

Yesterday was the first day in months I have felt "well." No hip pain while walking, less winded and gasping for air, longer distance between stops, and no perspiration launching off of my head.
Even my Sweetie noted that my breathing sounded improved after climbing the three stairs to enter our house when arriving home from work. Normally, each step is accentuated with groaning and grunting from the effort. Yay!
Today, I feel the same "wellness." For the walk from the parking lot to my office, I pushed myself to walk a little further before stopping. Feeling positive about the change.
Have a blessed day everyone!

I was sure protein shakes caused me joint pain with weight loss. Well, I learned from my primary physician the pain is related to my joints "adjusting" to less weight. Hmmm, not sure if I agree entirely and wonder about the experience of others like me.
So, planning to eat Atkins shakes in the morning with a sensible lunch and dinner.
I am considering weight loss surgery. Yesterday, my Sweetie and I attended an introductory workshop. (Yes, I am truly blessed to have someone love me even though I am not who I used to be.)
Surgery is scary stuff. What is truly scary is losing my mobility, unable to stand for more than a couple of minutes, out-of-breath after walking maybe ten steps, and the increased risk of stroke/heart attack.
Initially resigned to die young at 55, I decided to be around a little longer, giving myself one more chance to get healthy.
Here I am.
