BiPolar and Weight Gain
I have BP disorder on high meds. In remission. Switched docs and they wanted to decrease all my weight gain meds I had to prove to them I could stay healthy and stay on meds, tried to decrease and went into severe depression until went back on and it improved over time. Started exercising and working on small changes with food. Had physical February 2011 clean bill of health. You can do it. Kate1962 and I am 49 and post menopausal with hypothyroid med that keeps it working right too. Topped out at 260 now at 238. Still working on it. Laughing
Most people say I don't look it, that's a first for me.
That's why I am the one who is laughing now. My favorite
expression is where there is a will there is a way if you want it bad enough.

Day 1
Second Week 2 hour cardio hike. That's 4 1/2 cardio workouts this second week. Got off to a slow start last week but I'm picking up steam

I have a limited gluten diet, that is customized to fit me. Kate 1962Very Happy By that I mean I do eat some bread but gluten free pasta all the time. I just never found a good sub for bread that was gluten free. Do use flour tortillas for some stuff, but am finding the corn ones can be good if you get the right ones. Cool

Kate 1962 September 22,2011. Received a challenge from gluten slayer 1/2 hour 5 times a week for four weeks. Just so you know I do battle old injuries. Took it slow first time back since aggravated left kneee injury, old thing,the injury, not me, but, I am 49 years old. Did 1/2 hour on treadmill, and 1/2 hour on seated bicycle. 2 down 2 to go. Plan to do same tomorrow and maybe take a hike for a mile and a half on Saturday. Trail is close to my house and I exercised indoors and hiked last winter/fall. Off and running. If tomorrow goes as well will only have last 1/2 hour for Saturday, and hike is uphill 1.5 up and 1.5 miles down.
Thanks glutenslayer for getting me moving again, so easy
to be lazy in Duluth, MN this time of year. Pretty much worked off kink in knee. Hope it feels as well tomorrow. tomorrow. Stretched before and after.Cool
