Determined to get these scales moving. Maintaining zero alcohol and exercise 40-60mins daily. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll finally see some progress

The past couple of weeks have been an emotional roller coaster. As a result I fell off the wagon a bit - have been drinking too much wine and not watching my nutrition so well. While I have not been eating "badly" - no junk food, lollies etc, I have not been conscious of what I am having and had begun to slacken off my focus on getting enough fluids and protein.. Fluids have probably been ok but I think protein has not been. The combination of that and alcohol even though I drink way WAAYY less than I used to - means my weightloss has stalled. For weeks. I was already stalled. So now it's about 4 or 5 weeks - very discouraging. So from yesterday - alcohol free again, focus on good nutrition, hitting my protein and fluid levels and lets get this party started again.

losing 1.0 lb a week

Well today it's time to re-start my food tracking. I had bariatric surgery (gastric sleeve) on 6th September 2018. The decision to have surgery was long and hard won - my Dr recommended it 3+ years ago because I had co-morbidities which were getting worse. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes approx 3 years ago, at the same time I was told my BP and cholesterol were way too high. I went on a radical keto diet, lost a huge amount of weight 50+kg, got down to under 109kg and was having to exercise for 5-6 hours per day to maintain that loss. I was riding my bike 30+km daily after work, in the dark, and/or swimming for hours to try to keep my weight loss happening. Obviously, that was not sustainable - I ended up with injuries (disc degeneration from the bike)and could not continue, and the weight piled back on. Not all, but most of it. I felt utterly defeated.
Fast forward a year or so. I decided to take action and use my superannuation to find my surgery (don't have private health insurance, and couldn't afford it)I tried getting myself on track again -Starting weight was 132.7 on first surgeon's visit, after losing 5-10kg - lost 12 kg on optifast prior to surgery, and had surgery a bit over 4 weeks ago, and now down almost another 12kg. Despite what most people think, it is definitely not the easy way out. I've been given a tool - what I do with it is up to me. Hence starting to track my food/exercise again. I want to make the best of this opportunity and get myself back within normal ranges once and for all. At my highest I was topping 180kg - so prior to surgery I had already lost a heck of a lot of weight -"the hard way" as some people like to put it. Now I need to lose as much as I can within the next 12 months so my body resets itself to within healthy weight ranges, and I have the opportunity to do what normal people do!

Im not sure how, but I've put on weight. I have not broken the diet once. It's so disappointing to be working so hard and going backwards. I will review what I'm doing and just keep going. I think I've been using too many of the atkins products in place of meals... and I think I have not been eating enough carbs.
sigh. oh well, here's to a better week ahead.
Regardless, I FEEL like I'm losing weight and I FEEL better within myself too
