Starting the diet again.

After a few days' break it is time to get serious about the diet again. I did not drink last night so this morning's weight should be valid. Time to tune in to a slow loss again. 70.7 is good since although it did droplower I was completey emptied out and a bit too rigid in my diet. 70.7. Another 4.7 kilos to go over the next 6-8 weeks... coincides cooincidentally with Gerry's contract. Round the time he is back around I should have reached my target. Makes it a set period of time. No obsessing.. just a steady conistent loss.

I have a day off on Sunday next - going out to lunch with Al. That's nice.

Need to shop: lean chicken breast, more halloumi, freah bacon, veggies and some pork loin.

Actually this weight is good: it's as If I have healthily consolidated a permanent weight loss which happened too fast. Good. 5 weeks and 3.3 kilos is a bit better than that. Good. On target. 9.4 more weeks - call it 10.

Had my few days off with Garry although we both at pretty responsibly until yesterday. Drank wine each night. Have not weighed myself. When you have wine the weight is meaningless: it goes all over the place with level of hydration I think.

Had fish, light pan fried, salad and chips last night for dinner... CHIPS!! And had a ham salad sandwich for lunch, with sourdough. First stodgy carbs for several weeks!! 3 glasses of wine last night.

Back to the diet today... did ride but did not do the last very difficult bit. Was still a straight 2.5 hours of riding. About 27 km but 50% of it uphill with some difficult hills. My heartbeat was really going at one point!!

Tonight is halloumi with 1 egg, and a big bowl of green salad with home made french dressing with lovely local olive oil. Yum.

Missing Garry. Won't see him for weeks.

Went for the Thursday ride this morning but did not cycle into Moruya because my rear cassette was not changing in the uphill gears. Spared them and stopped at the house. Went in by car and joined the others for coffee.

Weight consisten - 70.4 kg this morning. Happy with that. Weight has not rocketed up again. Good. The sudden loss on Monday and Tuesday looks like it was a 'Woosh' effect or something... when the fat tissue burns off but holds fluids which it suddenly loses. I lost .7 kg between Saturday and Sunday and then 1 kg between Sunday and Monday. Phew!! Physically impossible so it has to be fluid loss.

I am happy with my weight loss over the last month. It is 3.6 kg. Good and faster than I had aimed. I'll keep the same strategy... I am feeling quite satisfied. I will not expect to lose weight this next few days: I will be happy if I am the same on Wednesday next. Best to take the pressure off myself a bit. Best that way I think. Level off a bit after such a sudden loss.
