I still have white food here, that I will use up.

But I am getting set up to reduce the carbs - Today was high, but my plan is to keep it around 80 gms. I know that isn't as helpful as lower - I've done Atkins before, so I know how to do that when I get the whites eaten up, the habit of the challenges in place and am consistently eating 3 meals a day.

I had hoped to be with my family, but they had a tornado out to get them, so we all stayed in our own homes.

All week the meds have been taken at the right time.

I'm adding some supplements for Adrenals and Thyroid to assist the meds. I will report that to the doctor tomorrow.

10:30 am before breakfast bg 135
140 bg 234 45 min after drinking 12 oz reg Dr Pepper.
2:15 pm 172 after meal at 1:40 pm
Prior to dinner 116
11 pm bg 148 after meal at 7:20 pm and a fair amount of walking.

I'm voiding a lot today - like 3 x within 2 hours - no irritation, but volume is high.

To bed 2 am. Up at 9:30 pm - slept through, so not bad.

Left shoulder hurts - level 7 today again - I lifted 2 gallon jugs of water after filling them. I have some topical analgesic to use.

I had high calorie intake yesterday - so I will modify today. I think I can add some fruit to the lunch.

I learned that it would be best to take the VitD2 - when I take it weekly, after the evening meal so it will absorb better.

I think I've got the finger sticks figured out - I bought 2-25 count test strips yesterday.

I put the pedometer at my waist and it recorded 20 steps. since I walked quite a bit more - 30 min altogether at one time, plus the trip to the bank and shopping with my daughter.

I was so glad to see the Melaleuca items. Those are the supplements and energy things I use. I use fiberwise instead of metamucil, but I didn't see it before.

I've been having more indigestion since I began on the new meds.

I adjusted my caloric intake so maybe I can lose between 1-2 lbs per week. That makes it 1700 the most I can eat each day if I want to stay at my current weight.

I also researched about handling type 2 diabetes. One way is to go very low carb or zero carb. That would be no fruits, white foods, high carb vegetables. So low carb vegetables, lots of meats, salads, nuts, healthy oils.

Been having GI problems - and quite bad around 4 am, so I'm still up, but so tired.

08 May 2015

I have messed up the blood glucose thing - I tried to set an alarm, but since my times of eating are all over the place, like my sleeping. I wasn't able to find out what the level was at either lunch - which I slept through nor at supper.

I took the Trazodone, so I hope to fall asleep tonight.

Was restless, hear some noises - my oldest cat knocked out the screen - or somebody moved it, cause it was by the side of the window. I called and walked around to where he was, but he wouldn't come to me for about 1 hour. Then he came near the door, but wouldn't go in.
Walked around some more - other cats in the bedroom and door open. Gave up and stayed at computer in case he came in - checked on him and he came into the apt.

Very upset with him, very tired, but rattled, so couldn't sleep.

I have been learning about my meds, my conditions, trying to find support groups. I thought I'd find a house to rent - can't do that with the new expenses.

I was told today that it will take at least 2 weeks for the Trazodone to begin working. I have to practice patience. And also get myself up at the same time every day - to help reset my rhythm. - gee I remembered how to spell it.
