So, I started training with my buddy last night. I'm helping her get ready for her first fight. We were throwing kicks and working on our ground game (jiu jitsu). I think I bruised my shins and hips!! I bruise at the drop of a hat...that's the only thing I hate about training. I look like I've been beat up by my hubby. I'm feeling the soreness in all my muscles today. I definitely mixed it up. I'm going again tonight, but she won't be there the rest of the week b/c she's going to float down the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels...aka, the Frio River. Lucky dog!! We'll pick it up next week. I'll go to my kickboxing and yoga class Thursday, Everlast Shadow box and yoga Friday, and then maybe do the Power Lift and yoga class Saturday. I want to get as toned as possible!!!
I'm getting there.

Whew!! Did my pilates class last night and a full arm workout with weights. I'm pretty sore today. My hubby said my arms are really starting to look defined!! Finally!!!! Of course, I'm not where I want to be, but I'm heading in the right direction. I will be going to bootcamp tonight and then to kickboxing and yoga tomorrow. The fights are this weekend and I'll be seeing my first girl fight in person. I have to admit, I'm really getting the bug to fight. I just want to know what it's like. I'm not saying I'll be Gina Carano or Cris "Cyborg" Santos, but I would like to try some local fights. We'll see...I'll let you know what I decide.
Eating went just ok yesterday. I had a couple of cookies. They were yummy, but I felt so guilty afterwards. I need to get re-focused on my strict eating habits. I still have about 10 lbs. to go to get to my weight goal. I still have quite a ways to go for my toning all over. I'll get there...I didn't put on this weight overnight, and it sure as heck won't come off overnight. I can do it!!!

Good morning! Well, I have to say I'm happy I didn't gain anything this weekend. We went to our friend's beach house and watched the Lesnar/Mir fight and we barbecued and had sweets and all kinds of things. I had already said that was my "cheat" day. I probably ate more goodies than I should have, but I still maintained. I guess my workouts helped with that. I'm going to start training with a girl that's at our boxing gym. She really wants to become a fighter, but she doesn't have anyother girl to spar or train with. I think I would like to do that...not to say I'll fight, but I would like to be her partner. I'm getting pretty pumped about it. We'll probably start this week. I will also continue my classes at 24 Hr Fitness...I just think my body gets used to the different exercises so quickly. I have to constantly mix it up.
I'll let y'all know how the training goes...I may not be able to stand up when it's all over with!! :)
