Yea!!! I lost another pound. I taught my first women's fitness MMA class Friday night. It went really well. I'm supposed to have 2 more girls tonight. I'm hoping this will catch on. My goal is to leave my current job and focus on this and my album full time. I'm just tired of getting up at 4:45 every morning. I'm ready to be my own boss. I don't know how long it will be before that happens, but I'm working on it everyday. My hubby said we're going to be opening another SBA gym (boxing/mma) around our area of town. He and I would run it. I could do my classes there and he could teach beginners who are interested in MMA. We're currently looking for a building to have it in. I've been jogging a lot. I'm going to try to run before I do my class but we'll see how the day goes.
Now I'm going to go check on all you guys and see how you did over the weekend!!

Good morning to all my friends. Hmmm...what to talk about. I'm here at work on a Friday when usually I'm off. I would still be sleeping...boy, I wish I was. I didn't get to go to the boxing fight last night but my hubby did. He got in a little after 1am...and of course I woke up when he got home. I had to be up by 4:45am, so needless to say, I'm dead tired.
Before he left last night, he and I ran 1.5 miles. I'm still trying to build up my endurance. I'm getting better. I only slowed to a walk once and it was for a very short time. I was so proud of myself. I want to start increasing it to 3 miles. I was thinking I would run the first 1.5 miles and then take a 5 minute break and then go again. I really want to get up to 3 miles/day. I teach my first women's mma fitness class tonight. I finally got some students. I'll let y'all know how that goes. I'm pretty excited about it. My twin nephew's 2nd birthday was yesterday so we'll be celebrating it tomorrow. I can't believe how fast they're growing!! Anyway, I'll be getting plenty of exercise this weekend. I can tell my core is getting so much stronger. I tell ya...and all you runners know this already, my core is so tight and strong after my run. I love it!!! I have to say...I'm addicted!! I guess that's what they call the runner's high!

Good morning all! I went to jiu jitsu last night and I have bruises all up and down my legs. My husband's response, "well, you're a fighter." I think he gets tired of me saying, "look, another bruise." He's thinking what's new??? Hee hee Anyway, the class was really good. I was working with a new girl that has decided she wants to become a fighter, but oh man, she has no cardio to speak of. It doesn't matter how much skill you have...if you gas out, you're done. We did a circuit after the class and she kept stopping. I really had to push her. We did about 8 circuits that go for 2 minutes each. Normally we do around 12 for 2 minutes, but we were running late so we did what we could do.
I'm going to a boxing fight tonight so that should be fun. Normally I don't work on Friday's but I'll be here tomorrow to make up some of the time I missed on Tuesday. I called in b/c I got to bed very very late Monday night. My high school friend came in town and I hadn't seen her in over 7 years, so we went to dinner and didn't get home till after 1am. I'm still tired from that night!! LOL

Still holding strong. My hubby and I have started jogging together. I'm doing 1.5 miles. I know that doesn't sound like much, but I am not a runner!! I'm trying to build my endurance up so I can increase it to at least 3 miles. We take our dog and run the neighborhood. I decreased my stops by the second run. I was pretty proud of myself b/c I have never been able to run for long distances...I'm more of a sprinter.
I'm meeting up with a friend that I haven't seen in years tonight for dinner, so I won't be able to get the run in today. I will be back at it full force tomorrow. I'm beginning my women's MMA fitness class next week. I met with Kelly Stallings, author and motivational speaker this weekend. She and I are teaming up to help women start "Thinking Thin." You should check out her book and CD at www.lifeismental.com. She is a great person and such an inspiration!! Anyway, I'm anxious to get this new partnership underway.
Update on my album: I'm thinking it will be out in early Fall. I'm so excited to get this done!! It's been a long time coming. I'll keep you posted as to when the release date will be!!

Ok, so I went to the gym with my hubby and his friend. We did weights and let me tell you I am soooo sore today. I love it!! His friend then showed us some cool workouts to do in the pool...talk about hard and tiring. It was great though! I love getting new workouts. It breaks up the monotony. Hopefully I'll be training with my jiu jitsu partner tonight. Her hand was hurting last night so she didn't go...slacker!! j/k
I don't know if it's the muscle building or what, but I'm starting to think my body doesn't want to get below 140. My weight keeps fluctuating back and forth. It's only about a pound or so, but it's annoying. TOM is visiting right now, so maybe that has something to do with it too. Oh well, I'll just keep doing what I'm doing. My hubby said he could see all the muscles in my back and arms last night so I guess I'm starting to get cut. Yeah!!!
