I'm resetting my goal weight because I'm discouraged. I'm trying to eat better and move more but it doesn't seem to be working right now. I'm still struggling with my eyesight and it's draining after a full days work. I'm trying to add healthy snacks back into my diet and get back to eating on a regular schedule. I'm hoping my next check in shows some progress.

I haven't lost any more weight. My activity level has been curtailed because I'm still dealing with my eyesight and I am SO careful and moving slow.
And depressed because this process to fix my eye is SO slow. I want it NOW. I need to eat less and steer clear of the "comfort" food I've been eating. Gray spring weather is a reflection of how I feel right now.

wow, 10 lbs. More actually, but the last two weeks it's coming off again. I just spent 6 weeks recovering from a detached macula/retina. 5 and a half hour surgery and three weeks flat on my face, doing NOTHING 24/7 and no activity for the entire 6 weeks. Did a number on my weight and my blood sugar. Right through the holiday. No Christmas this year! Thank the Lord I did my shopping early and had everything ready to go. I had friends bring me meals, and a basket of cookies from the office cookie exchange. And a bottle of Huckleberry wine!
So now I can cry or get back on the bandwagon. I gave myself a 15 minute cry and then it's back on my regular life style again. Activity and eating right.
All that work..... but if I can do it once, I can do it again. I have my sight, and he fixed the other eye too that had the a tear in the retina. The diet is such a small thing compared to losing my sight. I am truly blessed.

fell off the carb bandwagon. Watching what I eat but not as close as I use to. Get my A1c tomorrow and it's going to be the pits. But good news is I'm back on the diet again. I can't wait to feel better and have more energy again. I had NO idea just what fueling our bodies right can do for our lives. I guess I had to go back to see what a difference eating right made in my life.
