going to try yet again! the good news is that i haven't gained any weight after xmas & a holiday to Japan over the new year. i have invested in some frozen ready meals from a company that make the meals suitable for weight loss and diabetes. just for the first week. then its back on the 5/2 plan, which works really well.
have to make a huge effort as my cholesterol has risen albeit slightly. dont want to go on statins again!

hi guys, am new to this. and am trying the 5:2 diet. which i have found to be not as daunting as i thought.
What helps is my son is also on it (more for fitness than weight loss) so it helps not having any 'goodies' in the cupboard.
any idea for tasty foods when i have only 500 calories for the day? something different? this week i had omelettes with mushroom & mixed beans, which were filling.
i need to cut out carbs too.
And to make it interesting i'm also diabetic.
