Day 7: One week. Do I feel better? A little. The eating and drinking with friends this past weekend is creating a bit of a set back. Heck, No Problem. I will take this bull by the horns and keep on drinking my crazy amount of water (per a challenge) eating 1600 or less calories a day and upping my protein intake. I am making my lunches for work (a new thing for me) so I have better control of my portions and what I am eating. The fat cells shall continue shrink and disappear! In the words of the Queen of Hearts...."OFF with their Heads!"

This weekend my diet ran amuck! Multiple friends birthdays, reasons to go to dinner or lunch and/or to drink, kids made a batch of brownies. Lots of opportunities to eat too much or just snack on various items. How does one dodge or minimize calorie intake at the seemingly innocent social opportunities where a nice meal and a few drinks are enjoyed with friends and/or family? What are some polite ways to enjoy meals and snacks with others without noticably eating far less than everyone else?

Its almost 1 am. I had a blast Friday eve at the Whiskey Cake Kitchen and Bar. Kept it low carb (except for all the whiskey). I only had a half a rotiserie chicken and roasted brussel sprouts. Ok, and and and a small piece of chocolate whiskey cake. Good times with friends. I'll be in the office this weekend working and needed a little time off.

Day 4: Keeping calorie intake around or below 1600. Last night was able to do so even after a piece of apple pie, a scoop of ice cream and a glass of champagne at a friends house in celebration of a couple of birthdays.
Tomorrow I start ramping up the protein intake and decrease the carbs.
Became buddies with a couple of people here on FS, which I think will help alot over the long haul.
I am drinking about 102 fl oz of water each day as part of a challenge and am not used to the volume of water yet, but hope to get used to it soon, because my back teeth are floating.
