Day Three went pretty well.
I managed to avoid the Cachet sugar free Belgian Chocolates (yay) and other sweets.
Exercised for 35 minutes. Would have been 45 but the 'phone rang (bro) and when he'd said ta ta it rang again (niece). If I exercise too late I can't sleep. Will do 45 minutes at an earlier time tomorrow.
Really want to be in the 10s for Christmas. Would rock! Let's see if I can make it happen over the next five and a bit weeks.

I like this site!
Just the act of starting this journal yesterday seems to have helped me commit to losing my remaining surplus weight.
Have been reading others' posts and replying where appropriate. I remember the very overweight days where I, too, feared I would never be able to stick to any weight loss plan. And the days where I would reflect unhappily on the past, when I did lose the weight and then maintain for 2-3 years, only to gain it all back and much more.
Swings and roundabouts. Relapse is part of Recovery.
I hope to help others to lose and keep it off. I hope to lose the rest of my weight and continue to maintain that loss. I know that losing weight has made a huge difference in my life. Long may this continue to be the case!
Today is a good day. I am sticking to my plan and enjoying freedom from food obsession. By avoiding unhealthy carbs I am feeling peaceful and calm around food. This makes such a difference.

Wow. Here I am.
I want to lose 23 pounds. I have already lost more than 135 pounds. And kept them off for years. Now at last I am on the home stretch and I dare not fail! I have the will and the way to succeed and I can't let myself down.
I am following my own plan, which is based on Atkins and on general low carbing but is tailored to my vegetarian needs.
I make a lot of low carb stuff at home, baking and cooking. I use Atkins shakes and bars, etc. In moderation! I eat way too many sugar free sweets and chocolate - this must stop. I still spend too much on food shopping and have until recently indulged in too much vodka. Well it has no carbs! Lol. Haven't had any for one week and will continue to cut down in future.
So here I am, ready and willing to get on with my weight loss journey. I hope to find more friends along the way, to share hope and encouragement through dieting's many ups and downs.
