Finally my weight is moving downwards again. Not as easy in middle-age as it was years back! Just have to stick at it.

Have been cutting down and making a real effort these past two weeks. Didn't even go mad on my birthday in mid-July. I need to keep the weight trend moving downwards, and this takes work!
I have given up booze for the time being, because whilst vodka etc may be carb-free it is certainly not calorie-free and when I've been drinking my resolve too often weakens and I end up eating the wrong food. At the time I don't care but next morning I get so mad at myself. So - for the duration, booze is out.
I think I have lost around half a stone, judging from the fit of my clothes. I will weigh on Monday 'officially' and post the result here. From now on I am determined to keep losing. Even a STS is better than a gain! There comes a point where you have to make a firm decision to stop regaining and lose the surplus. Finally I feel I am at that point.

Well here I am after slowly regaining two stones of the ten stones I had lost and kept off for years.
I lost my Dad last winter. My brother is very ill. We miss Dad so much. Mum passed away in '05. It's not been an easy time emotionally but of course that's life. I dealt with the pain by nibbling. Now I have to get back on track.
I have been dieting for a couple of weeks but have NOT weighed myself! So I have probably lost a bit of that regain, already. Even so I need to stick with it faithfully to lose the rest and then get to goal.
So I am committing to this challenge. 30 pounds in 12 weeks. From NOW.

I am stalled again but not panicking. This close to goal I expect it. I've lost ten stones now so the largest proportion of my fat has already been dealt with.
I am revamping my daily food in order to make it more interesting and to include more salad and veg. I bought different types of cheese for variety - and will weigh them out instead of guesstimating. I will limit Atkins bars and sugar free treats even more than before.
Also need to buy more berries and melon etc, and step up my exercise quite literally - I was given a nearly-new stepper so there is no excuse!
Being on Veggie Atkins means more security in maintenance because I know it works, I am learning all the time what I can and can't eat and just enjoying the rest of the journey.
