I have never really considered myself an emotional eater until just recently. I recently learned that my hubby has to go to Saudi Arabia next month for work. This is the first time that either of us have ever had to travel for work. He will not have cell service and the only way we will be able to communicate will be email assuming that the hotel has wireless service. I am feeling a bit anxious about this trip for a few reasons but mostly because I know he is anxious about it. Did I mention that in almost 34 years of marriage, he has flown with me once and that was just this past March?i know that everything will be okay but it is still very stressful. I have reached out to several friends to try to talk about it and get some advice on how to deal with my feelings and how to help hubby with his anxiety, but my pleas have apparently fallen on deaf ears. I just keep thinking that if I am this stressed leading up to this trip what will it be like while he is gone?

I am working hard at keeping my calories in control although some of my food choices haven't been the greatest like the bottle of wine I consumed this weekend! And I am continuing to exercise and will be at the gym after work again tonight. Wish me luck that I at least maintain during this time. Right now, that is my goal.

Back at the gym tonight and had the same issue - toes go numb and get painful after about 15 minutes. I didn't have extra thick socks so I wore two pair and it helped slightly. Will go back to see my foot doctor for another injection. In the meantime, I am telling myself that my feet are a long way from my heart and it is not going to kill me to have some pain! Tonight I kicked it up a bit. Increased my elliptical to a level 5 program and burned 60 more calories in 30 minutes than normal. After I walked for a mile, I went on the stair stepper did 10 flights of stairs.

Out of town this weekend. Starting next week, I will add weight resistance a couple times per week cause I gotta keep up with my kick-ass SIL! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. My challenge to each of you this weekend is to do something totally selfish!

Hugs

I need to know if anyone else is experiencing this. Tonight, I am at the gym on the elliptical (35 minutes). At about 10 - 12 minutes in my feet (specifically my toes) start to go numb. It starts with the baby toe and gradually moves to the 4th toe, the 3rd and so on. By the time I get to my 30 minutes and 5 minute cool down, I am in so much pain, I have tears in my eyes. Sometimes if I switch and do the elliptical backwards, it helps for a few minutes, but not tonight. Of course, I refuse to quit because I NEED this and I am one of those weirdos who actually enjoys the elliptical! After I was done, I walked for 2 miles and it took about 4 laps (about 1/3 mile) for my toes to stop hurting. I have new shoes and they are not tied too tight. I know that with running/walking,we need to replace our shoes about every 300 miles. Almost two years ago I did have a large neuroma removed from my right foot and it is not as bad as the left, but I have pain and numbness in both. Any suggestions my FS friends?
