i retired about 4 years ago and weighted about 195 about 10 months later realizes i had gained about 40 pounds and being diabetic i knew my aic was no longer in a good range. i decided i cant help getting older,but i had no excuse for getting fatter so i decided to join a gym. when i had worked i had to work 6 days a week and 60 hours plus and because i was active had kept my weight in reasonable control and didn't feel like i had the time or energy to workout.when i decided to join the gym i told myself i had no reason not to put the effort in to try and get back in reasonable shape. i decided for myself i would rather be old and fit than old and fat . my main goal was to try an increase my overall health . in the first 3 months i lost about 30 pounds and i decided to track my diet and work out tracking my calorie burn through the use of a polar fitness band and their blue tooth hr7 heart monitor. i worked out 6 days a week and spent 2-3 hours at gym plus up to 2 hours at home doing cardio above weight traning done at gym
