Cabin fever?? Stir crazy?? Paranoid?? who me?? ya must be joking. So went the conversation last night as this home alone Dad sat to my lamb chop dinner round the table with the German Shepherd and the collie. Bailey (the collie) explained in rapid panting why birds actually WANT to be chased continually while Storm (the Shepherd) whined out his reasons why a dry mix dogfood is so boring... I told them both that I'd look into the food thingy, but ONLY if they were both using a knife and fork by the time the family arrive home next week!

It was a celebration dinner actually as it marked 19 years of marraige to herself who must be revered *s*. 19 feckin years can fly past can't they. Just after dinner I got a call from them to tell me where some gifts were hidden in the house.... a bottle of my favourite single malt whiskey from Sarah and two wonderful glass and pewter whiskey tumblers from the boys... it was meant to cheer me up on account of me being on me lonesome on the day...it worked, and I toasted their health... then I toasted YOUR health... then because it was tuesday and I was NOT gonna see Gerry the barman..I toasted him too...(they were very small toasts, liquidwise!!).

Foodwise things are mightily back on track now...am eatin' like a sparrow and makin every 'come on' known to mankind to ketosis who is still playing hard to get...but she'll succomb in the end..she's just gotta...

Just back from the morning walk...sportin' a yellow teeshirt, which is a fitting thing since most of my maties seem to be on that team... 'more power to yer elbows gals...give it a lash...'

Isin't it lovely to have a place like this to pop into - where good will abounds and 'horse manure' is left outside!!!

Is it the empty house I wonder??? but am I glad that weekend is over, it seemed as if there was a magnet on the fridge drawing me in closer and closer...and when I opened it there was a golden shimmering heavenly spotlight shining with angel choirs on the THREE tubs of double cream that I had bought....so it was - cream with jello, cream with strawberries...cream flavoured with splenda... cabbage and cream... vodka and cream... leg of lamb with a side helping of fecking cream... On Saturday night I actually felt ill after a strange kind of heady pagan savage attack on the whipped cream bowl...how many spoonfuls could I shovel in before the guilt stepped in again..

I ditched all the cream in the house yesterday!!!!

I suppose that after 18 weeks of Induction some kind of caving in was on the cards and I suppose that there are worse things than cream. Anyway today I start again with Kim, have had me two exercise sessions in already.... onward and inward! Thankfully the scale was only registering a .3lb gain but thats coming close to a lb gain over the last two weeks...see what happens when yer not exercisin'?!

Have to dash! Coffee break is done, its a mad busy monday here at work and I still have to do the rounds to see whats happening with everyone...

Theres a strange round warm bright ball in the sky over here.....anyone know what that might be????

later...xx

Well 'Holy Baloney' how quickly a week can pass... My lil week off is done, but it was terrific.. I just took a week off to be at home with all the gang who are on school holidays. I didn't go away anywhere as there were some in summer camps and others playing football so I just stayed and pottered and experienced the joy of being part of 'ordinary' family goings on... Foodwise I was semi brilliant, meaning that I only put on 0.3 of a pound according to the fancy new high fangled scales.

So last wednesday came and Conor headed off to Germany for two weeks, Sarah, Patrick and Tiernan headed off to the Yorkshire Dales in the UK for two weeks leaving me with work, the dogs, my food recording notebook and some very special and rare John Wayne movies that I intend to start watching from tonight.... 'Pilgrim'!! I have already cooked half a cow, divided it into sad single portions and popped them in the freezer... welcome to the caveman diet - meat and cream!!

Well according to my notebook I have been sticking religiously to a sub 20 carb a day routine... but still ketosis eludes me.. I keep coming close, which makes me try even harder and then, next time I check.. I'm back down on the bottom rung of the ladder again *shakes fist at nothing in particular* anyway at least it still keeps me trying to get there... can one be stubborn AND easy going???

No word from the internet people as yet as to which day they are coming to install the net at home, should be anytime now (ya'll can see how quickly things happen over here!)... just got a text from the bookshop to say that my copy of 'Good carbs Bad Carbs' has arrived *s* will pick that up tomorrow.

Houses are feckin' lonely with nobody there... arn't they! (am finding meself talking to me fridge!!! yes, I know I know.. mad as a hatter)

Well its all rush as I still settle back into work and catch up on everything.. Have a GREAT weekend..

Am off now to peek at all the journals - especially ones that mention bra's, on account of me being a typical impish male type thingy... its what we do! so I'm reliably imformed....... *s*
