I haven't checked in since February because I had a major setback in my life, viz. a heart attack that nearly killed me. Thanks to the hospital staff not giving up on me after resuscitating me four times, I can still carry on. The weight loss doesn't seem so important any more, although I am watching what I eat all the same. I'm just a little easier on myself.

No change. At 1300 calories per day, you'd think a body would be getting leaner. It's not that I'm working on a Summer Beach Body, but I don't like dieting and the sooner I get finished with this sucker, the better. I know, I should think of it as a 'new style of eating' instead of a diet, but eating like a bird is a wonderful lifestyle if you're a bird, but, dangblast, I'm chafing the dickens with it.

I reckon that the way to get past this plateau is to go through it. This week I doubled down and set the dial to 1.5 lb. to lose per week towards a new goal of 150 lb. which I ought to reach on May 7th.My average caloric intake was 1189 kcal. I still only managed a 0.6 loss.
My weight training has been providing good results at this point. My muscles are more dense and moving about in day-to-day activity is easier. My 'man boobs' are disappearing too. I've got nothing against boobs, but not on me, please.
This is a hard change from the consistent 1 lb drops I was getting before, but the arrow is pointing in the right direction, I feel great, and I know that pretty soon I will see some more encouraging numbers on the scale.

Measured my weight mid-week but didn't record it. Sure enough, the scale said I'd gained two pounds. Yes. Two. Pounds. Where the heck does two pounds come from. Today it shows no change from last Sunday but since that last scare I'm grateful to break even.
It looks like I've reached the dreaded Plateau at this, the three-month mark in my journey. I hadn't been paying much mind to it in the past but now it looks like I need to do some research and see how to get past it.
Maybe a croissant will reassure my body that there's no famine happening.?.
