I'm a mom of 2 preschool/school aged children, a sometimes stepmom to 3 teenagers, and wife to a great guy. I work full time in an office job (office is at home... yay!) that is at times a bit stressful. I live in northern Wisconsin which also means winters are long and cold.
Starting Atkins Jan 2011. Tired of THIS... me... fat. Ready to get on the ball. Have yo-yo'd for years... First diet I remember being on was TOPS when I was about 12. Since then it's been many of my own ideas, pills, WW, WWonline, Jenny Craig, NutriSystem, e-Diets, all whole foods, no sugar/salt/fat/caffeine, etc, etc, etc. My lowest weight that I can remember was 185 about 9 years ago. Then life happened and that's that.
Had a heart to heart with the hubby about my weight and how it makes me feel. He's always been very supportive of whatever but didn't understand how it affected me. But I also realized that I hadn't ever really tried to explain it. I think that was important for me for the emotional journey of weight loss.
So here I am and here I will stay for quite a while. Not quite 100 to drop but close enough to know it won't happen overnight.
