Woke up starving after 4 hrs sleep. My leg, after my fall in early March, has started to get better ... so no cane last 2 days & no pain pills last 4. Ramped up my movement with a busy few days of house cleaning and working on the pool & yard for my family's return from weekend sailing in Corpus Christi. Besides I've been unable to do physical work for a while and things were already out of hand, I was very bored, and got Spring Fever.
BUT, of course, I've overdone it. My body reacts with aches & pains (my knee is even swollen) and of course weight gain though I've worked hard & ate less because of the extra fluids in my tissues. When will I learn...gotta remember to take it slower, as one step forward and 2 steps back is so frustrating. The veins at the top of my left calf muscle ache and throb.
Get out the ice pack, take a Vicodin, and put on the TENS...Maybe I'll sleep better tonight. Tomorrow I'll try to find my clear acrylic cane so I can start using it again (it's probably hiding in the garden somewhere)and will tackle the laundry pile; sit and fold, take it easy and rest. At least I've got a couple of meals already made.

Yesterday was my hubby's 60th birthday. Of course there was cake which I offset by eating a 2 lb lobster which this site records as a low calorie meal...but the cholesterol MUST be through the roof

Pain day. Hurt my bad leg. Ice and bed rest with Vicodin and TENS. Just gotta let it settle down. Don't think I'll be sleeping tonight very well. Gotta wait for one of the boys to come home from college for spring break. He'll be here in a couple of hours. All the boys home...that'll be nice.
My husband made me breakfast in bed. I was planning to have asparagus w/soft boiled eggs and Parmesan cheese, but can't refuse his kind efforts.

Bought the book "Eat THIS not THAT! No Diet! Diet" by David Zinczenko which I saw on TV (? The Talk or The View). Lists restaurants like Chili's, Red Lobster, Taco Bell, etc. It's supposed to be about educating us to make better choices with regular food as diets don't work. I'll have to look into it and post my findings.
Gonna track my cigarettes to try to get a handle back on my smoking. I'm waiting for a refills on my e-cigarettes:
1)8:30am w/coffee;
2)10a after breakfast;
3)4:29p after snack;
4)6p after sushi;
5)7:30p after popcorn w/American Idol;
6)8:30p w/cocktail
7)9:15 w/still same cocktail
8)10:30 after finishing the other half of my lunch sandwich
9)midnight cig.
Nighty night all. Not my best day, but better than a 1 1/2 pack day
