Well, things went better this weekend than I thought. I was actually really good about what I ate. Sometimes I eat too many greasy and fatty foods on the weekend and then I definately regret it by Monday. We went out with a couple friends to eat and I did very well by just ordering the salad bar and making sure that I got plenty of protein on my salad. I know if I really put my mind to this that I can get down to my target weight. And when I do get there it's going to feel great. Not only that but I'm going to look great too. Every time I need a little motivation I just think about going shopping for new clothes in smaller sizes.

Well, I've lost a pound. It's not quite as much as I wanted to lose in a week but I guess it's better than gaining a pound. I've really been concious of what I've eaten this past week so I guess it's paid off. I did splurge over the weekend but I really worked hard the past few days. If I work just as hard, if not harder, the rest of this week and into next week before my next weigh in I know that I can lose even more. Just that one pound lost is all the motivation I need to see how much more I can lose.

This past weekend was my birthday so I splurged on food a bit. My husband did get me an exercise video by Denise Austin and I absolutely love it. It was a video that a friend and I did after I had my first baby so after I had my second child I thought it would be nice to have it to do again. My kids also got me a work out game for the PlayStation2. I haven't tried that out yet but I'm hoping that I can get my husband to show me how to hook up the PlayStation and how to work it. I'd like to be able to do that this evening for a while. I didn't get to work out last night like I wanted to because my son decided that he needed to stay awake for 2 hours longer than he usually does. But that's ok I guess. Well, I'd better put a close to this journal entry for now so I can get a few more things done around the house here.

Today for breakfast I had 2 pieces of whole grain toast and 2 eggs over easy. My sister and I excersized for about an hour and a half doing about 2 miles on the Gazelle and 2 miles on the treadmill. For lunch I ate a piece of pizza and a breadstick. I felt full so I decided not to try to eat anymore. For supper I am going to eat a salad and a piece of chicken. I might decide to make homemade tortilla chips and salsa again for a snack later this afternoon.
