I'm a 43 year old mum of one, who is 9 years old. We live in the South of England. I work part time in an office, where I do far more snacking than I should. I will be working from home though from February, so that should improve things! I don't need to lose a lot of weight, but would like to lose another 4-5lbs as we're going on holiday to South Africa in April (I grew up there); and I'd like to indulge with abandon whilst there!

Loosing baby weight...for dads.
Congratulations and welcome!
Ingria has some good advice for you there. Pop the babies in their buggy and go for a brisk walk any opportunity you get - it will get them out in the fresh air as well! Good for the soul.
As for your diet, for now, just start portion control and cutting out any 'bad' things you're indulging in. Don't be too hard on yourself.. having a newborn is hard work xx

So Frustrated!
I have an equal love for fats & carbs. So I'm trying to just make sensible choices and only 'pig out' (ie KFC) once in a while. Which I did on Friday evening - and you know what? I found it terribly 'heavy' after eating healthily for so long. I think the key really is to balance things and not cut out completely, you can't maintain that for long before a massive blow out.

I weigh myself most days, but the fluctuation can drive you nuts! I should really only do it once a week, but...

Just wanted to say I read your bio and can totally relate!
I recently went through some stress of my own (employment tribunal - I won Smile but it did take over my life for a while)- I lost 16 lbs without even noticing until I went shopping for new jeans. I am a lot smaller now and trying to maintain it, hence being here.
