And then suddenly no matter what I ate, I was still hungry. I'm not sure hungry is the word… It wasn't the stomach growling kind of hunger, just a feeling that I wanted to stuff food in my mouth. It's been fairly easy sticking to my plan for most of the past couple weeks, but today I could not be satisfied. I tried keeping myself busy and away from food, and that worked fairly well. I ended up going over my target by 100 calories or so, but it could have been much, much worse. Hopefully, it will go back to being easy tomorrow.

I was able to get back on track today after two shady days. That's growth for me. In the past I'd use a slip up as an excuse to give up and pig out.
I lost a pound this week. I don't know if that is from being off the program for a couple of days or just the natural slowing of the weight loss after the initial couple of weeks. I'm happy about it, though; I'm trying to remind myself that there is no deadline or goal date. As long as I'm losing anything, I figure I'm doing well.

I've been missing for the past few days as I set up my new laptop. I'm now using a fancy new MacBook Pro which is replacing the MacBook I've used since 2006. It's so nice to have a machine that doesn't need 30 second to think about everything you ask it to do.
The diet had been going extremely well through Friday, but yesterday was a national holiday and too much laying around led me to eat substantially more than I had planned. Tonight we took our older son out to a restaurant to celebrate his 27th birthday. I have no idea how many calories the meal entailed, but I don't think I overdid it too badly. I guess we'll see when I weigh in tomorrow.

So strange to get to the end of the day, feel perfectly satisfied with what you've eaten, only to find you are 200 calories below your target. I guess that means my body has adjusted to my current calorie level. I didn't feel hungry at all today except at meal times. So all is good.
