Week 7:
On Saturday I decided to have a day off the diet. Huge mistake. I just felt that it is going nowhere. So, I had fruit and some chocolate and bread. Not much more than I used to have before the diet, though.
Well, I ended up with disaster: 2 Kgs on the plus side and Ketostix showing nothing.
I wasn't expecting this big reaction... On Sunday I went back to the "normal" Atkins
food and quantities. The harm was already done.
I am reflecting what to do. Not sure how to continue. For now I'll just do regular Atkins diet with carbs below 20g until I'll figure it out.
One big learning for me: no such thing as a break in the diet...

Week 6:
My scale broke, so I don't know if I lost any weight. My averages measured this
week were similar to ones before, but I have to admit the daily carb and calorie maximums were exceeded a couple of times. Today I'll buy a new scale. I realized it
is quite important for a diet :-)

Week 5:
Seems the weight loss pace is only about 0.6 Kg per week. At least I still lose some.
I didn't do any physical exercise last week, except 4h downhill skiing yesterday.
The calorie deficit was 17900, and the loss should have been 2.5 Kg. Can't explain why my calculus is not working...My Ketostix indicates maximum level, no wonder since I kept the carbs on a 13 g /day avarage.
Anyway, I hope the coming weeks are going to be better. I have two weeks to show some real improvement before my all inclusive winter vacation in the Caribbeans. My hip injury seem to heal slowly. I plan to do some more running soon.

Week 4:
Christmas is over. Not too much damage to my diet. The carbs were under control (~17g/day). I had one day 1500 calories, but I still managed to keep the average around 1000. The calorie deficit was about 16000 for the whole week, which supposed to result in about 2.3 Kg weight loss. It didn't happen. Probably the water retaining could be the reason. I didn't exercise too much. I only had a 10K run on Sunday with a 5.50/Km pace. My hip is still not behaving as it should...
For the next week I foresee something similar as for this one. It would be nice to do a bit better result on the weight loss, though.
