THYROID
amaturechef, I know I actually asked my endo for Armour and he said no. I really am beginning to think I should try to find a doctor who will give me Armour, but honestly it took me so long just to get someone who acknowledges that I have this disease I am a little hesitant to change. I think my medication is too high, I have been on .50 since 18 Dec, but I am having jitters and heart palpatations and do not like it one bit. My Blood pressure has also shot up from 115/60 to 120/88. I blame this on the medication as I have always had normal BP. It DOES make me want to say curse words!

THYROID
amaturechef, it took me 2 doctors and 6 years for them to see that I had a thyroid condition. Only my 3 aunts have it and my grandmother had thyroid cancer...why would I think something was wrong with me too? Let's see..goiter, hair loss, weight gain, tired..etc...they even tried to write it off to sleep apnea. Amazing. Once I demanded an endocrinologist, he took one look at me & said, "you have hypothyroidism"...even though my blood work was "within the normal range"....normal for one is not normal for another. My temperature is still remaining low however...94-96 upon waking and about 97 during the day, but it's getting better.

THYROID
I was DX'd with hypothyroidism 12 weeks ago and am currently on .50 of Synthroid, just had blood work done, so might be going to .75 soon. I couldn't lose weight very easily before then, and I gained quite a bit in the last 11 years..had no idea I was hypothyroid, I didn't put all the signs together until recently and saw an endocrinologist. Now my hair is coming back (cute little short hairs! Gray but I'll take 'em) my energy is coming back, I do not have that brain fog as much..I am slowly getting better
I am currently on the Belly Fat Cure diet and it seems to be working, I just hope that I can lose the weight, I've heard horror stories about Synthroid, but so far it seems to be working for me...
