Gained about 40 pounds when my daughter was born. But I was OKAY with that. I felt fine and healthy at 150 lbs. I quit smoking in July 2009 and all hell broke loose. Thyroid issues, menopausal, and 45 pounds later here I am.

Great Budget Meal Ideas
I thought our main goal was LESS carbs, then calories, then fat. Am I doing this wrong? The first item for breakfast on the link above had a lot of carbs?

Thank you all. I will look for the sneaky chef book.
"My family does not eat vegetables." I guess this was a strong statement. We RARELY eat vegetables and if we do it comes from a can (ie corn, peas and beans). I am just not sure what I am doing and what is GOOD for you. Once a month I will make a roast and my husband and daughter eat cooked carrots. I am assuming that a ROAST will not be good for a diet. We need to change our habits if we are all going to lose weight. I am not sure HOW to change to eating HEALTHY...
