A vegetarian lunch.

Well, the caloric challenge begins today. We're celebrating Thanksgiving today at our son's house, so there will be plenty of delicious food. Tomorrow, he got us tickets to see the Broncos play the Panthers. There will be a couple hours of tailgating along with stadium fare. My wife and I will be spending the night in Charlotte after the game because we're flying out of there to Freeport in the Bahamas Monday morning for a week at an "all-inclusive" resort with meals, snacks and liquor available around the clock. So, I'm taking this as a chance to test my mettle in maintaining (or, at least, not exploding) my weight in the non-diet, real world. Coincidentally, I have a weigh-in at my doctor's office just two days after our return. So, that may provide some added motivation to not overdo the intake. We'll see. Hopefully, I can survive the temptations. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and a great upcoming week.

Well, I took off the weight that I gained during the week at the convention. Now I have to get through Thanksgiving this week and then a week in the Bahamas at an all-inclusive resort. A week of free food and booze will be a real test of my will power. But Scuba diving and snorkeling along with walking should help. Except for a couple of cold water dives Saturday, I've been pretty immobilized this week. I pulled a muscle in my back and, honestly, I can't remember having pain this bad before. I've been sleeping 12+ hours per day and sitting in a reclining when awake. Moving has been agony. Feeling much improved today, though not 100%, so I'm going to attempt to start filling the new kitchen cabinets with our pots, pans and dishes and the new pantry with all of our foodstuffs. It'll be nice to clear out the dining room after two months of upheaval. Still won't have countertops or sink or dishwasher until just before Christmas (if we're lucky), so its still tough to prepare meals or to clean up. I hope all of you FS Warriors have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Stay tough. All things in moderation!
