I'm a 45 year old mother of 6! Recovering from a back surgery that was performed on me IN ERROR! My spine was cut out from three lumbar levels and I've lived in chronic, unrelenting pain for five years. I've put on 60 pounds in 2 years since a pain medicine pump was implanted in me. Steroids, inability to move, other multiple medications, and intractable unrelenting pain and insomnia have been my constant companions. My health is suffering additionally with heart issues, high cholesterol, and other issues. Before all this happened I was in great shape and at the best point in my life ever, so it's going to long road just to obtain the ability to bend or lift . I've started water therapy, massage, Pt, and cut out all foods but protein, fruit, and veggies with a small diet treat at night.
My husband's birthday is October 25, so my goal is to lose as much as is healthfully possible by then. He misses the old me so much (as do we all) so I'm giving 100% effort. I'm afraid I will be permanently handicapped and even wheel-chair bound if I don't try.
