Gain despite diet and exercise
Thank you Matt and Rajah for responding to my post so quickly. Your ideas about my gain despite my best efforts are comforting answers. I understand not losing weight on some days but to gain when I was so good is very frustrating. Thanks again

Gain despite everything
I posted this question in the regular forum, but I think this might be a better place to ask. I ate 1379 calories yesterday and worked out for an hour doing circuit training, but gained a pound. Does anybody know how that is possible?

Could someone help me to understand something? I ate 1379 calories yesterday and worked out doing circuit training for an hour. How is it possible that I gained a pound? If anyone has any ideas I would be grateful to hear them because this has me very confused.

Looking for Friends & Support...
Hi again. How are you doing? My roommate ordered pizza at 9:30 last night and the delivery man woke me up. Did I go back to bed? No. I stayed up and ate two slices of cheese pizza! I gained 2 pounds this weekend as a result of late night snacks so I am going to follow my own advice even better from now on. I will go to bed early and resist the temptation for late night snacks. They really are my downfall as I can be very disciplined all day. And don't you find that television commercials for food (especially sweets) at night are insidious? They are the worst for putting the idea into my head to eat something. Well, I am hanging in there and you hang in there, too. Talk soon.

Hi! Hang in there. we are all here for you and with you. Changing your approach to eating is difficult. We all have days when we cheat and eat more than we should, but always remember to pick yourself back up and get back to it the next day. I am fairly new to FatSecret but I am finding that the support is a wonderful help. And seeing my calories add up throughout the day is a big help, too. One little hint that I have found useful...if you tend to snack at night try going to bed a bit earlier. That has really helped me cut down on the sweets and chips, etc. Welcome to the troops!
